Tandis Shoushtary | 19 | New York |  BFA student


Tandis Shoushtary is a German-born BFA student at The Cooper Union, who learned the culture and language of her Iranian familial roots in the context of migration. Focused mainly on animation and 16mm film, her work investigates the shaping of identity and its hybrid forms resulting from relocation.

Her single-channel work and installations have been shown internationally,  most recently  at the Iraqi Al-Nahj International Film Festival (2018), Before We Were Banned (2018), The Carnegie Institution of Washington (2018), Yale University (2018), Miami Independent Film Festival (2017), and Toronto Alternative Film Festival (2017).
